PDO (polydioxanone) PDO is a synthetic, biodegradable fiber, long known and used in medicine, including surgery (absorbable sutures). Korean scientists were the first to begin using and patenting PDO in the form of revitalizing threads for use in aesthetic medicine. Threads activate the skin’s rejuvenation process by stimulating fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, and they also have the ability to lift tissues to achieve a natural lifting effect.
