• The Vacutainer needle is a closed, sterile system for venous blood collection.
• The Safety Lock mechanism protects against accidental needlestick injury – after blood collection and needle removal, the shield (integrated with the butterfly) slides over the needle, completely covering it. A click indicates the needle has been securely locked.
• The mechanism can be activated with just one hand.
• The 17.8 cm needle tubing is equipped with an adapter and a holder (guide) that enables connection of the Vacutainer needle with vacuum-presealed test tubes.
